Irish 'homecoming' will be toughest test yet - Casey
BOB CASEY believes that London Irish's Heineken Cup "homecoming" will tell his Exiles how good they really are. The Reading men may be riding high in the Guinness Premiership - they are currently second, one point behind Saracens - but tonight's Dublin trip to face European champions Leinster will be the ultimate yardstick. Casey told this week's rfu.com podcast: "It's brilliant to be going 'home', not just for me but for London Irish as a whole.

"We want to see exactly where we are as a team. People are talking about us in the Premiership and we'll be there or thereabouts. But we want to see how good we really are on the big stage of Europe and what better team to test ourselves against than the Heineken Cup champions with about eight or nine Lions in their starting line-up."

Also on the European front we hear from, among others, Northampton Saints boss Jim Mallinder, Gloucester captain Gareth Delve, Harlequins' Will Skinner and Dean Schofield of Sale Sharks.

Also on this week's podcast:

Flying the flag - Put a name to a voice for Twickenham Stadium Centenary Ambassadors Alastair Hignell, Bill Beaumont, Rob Andrew, Lawrence Dallaglio and Dickie Jeeps.

Final push for Olympics - Harlequins and England scrum half Danny Care on why Rugby Sevens should be part of the world's biggest sporting event in 2016.

Championship chat - find out how crowds are up in the new-look league.
