Week 11 Review:

Bay of Plenty’s challenge appears to have come completely off the rails after their 28-7 defeat to tenth placed North Harbour, while Canterbury, Hawke’s Bay, Wellington and Southland all entrenched their positions at the top with comfortable wins. Second placed Hawke’s Bay was the pick as they completed a seven try demolition of bottom placed Counties Manukau.

Meanwhile, we also had the rare occurrence of two nil results with both Taranaki and Tasman failing to score against Auckland and Southland respectively. The tables are below.

BOB CASEY believes that London Irish's Heineken Cup "homecoming" will tell his Exiles how good they really are.

The Reading men may be riding high in the Guinness Premiership - they are currently second, one point behind Saracens - but tonight's Dublin trip to face European champions Leinster will be the ultimate yardstick.

The big story  this week is BoP going down 19-22 at home to play-off rivals Hawke's Bay. The slip-up allowed Tasman to vault over them into fourth place. Wellington did themselves a favour with a comprehensive 43-15 victory over Manawatu and Canterbury maintained a consistent winning streak by overcoming bottom place Counties Manukau to retain the top spot.
